		<description>Sam Harris obviously enjoys being what is known in Australian lingo as a shitstirrer. Having said that I think that much of what he says is right even if he goes over the top and there are very good reasons for people continue to identify as atheist. The deeper point is the one you make in your next post, i.e. that religion should not be treated as &quot;the source of all evil&quot;. I like to compare religion to cigarette smoking. I would prefer it if people did not engage in it and certainly do not approve of them involving children, I think it causes serious harm to many people and opens a way for unscrupulous individuals to profit at the cost of other while at the same time recognising that it helps many to cope with their lives and that it is in many ways more a symptom than a cause of much that is wrong with our world.</description>
