Visible signs of the rapture

Credit to Peter Griffin – I don’t know where he gets these things from.

If only I was a student again –  and could afford such a big bill at the local sex shop.

  1. A blogger named Evan Gellical invited me to his Last Super party… on Saturday…He said everyone was going to get high. Really High.

    Will be busy…

  2. I wonder if people’s willingness to accept rapture theories increases in times of economic hardship. I mean if you are unemployed, your house is going to be repossessed by the bank, you can’t afford insurance, and things do not look like they are going to change… the idea of a rapture must be very appealing. When I am feeling depressed it strikes me as an appealing idea. I would think that in times of economic stability these sorts of ideas would not get as much traction…. but I have no evidence for this theory. Just postulating.

On the other hand, Six Feet Under seems to have done it.

Who do I believe?! Well, obviously not Camping, but…

Is it too late to suggest hydrogen instead of helium? If I’m gonna be left behind, I really want a cool fireworks display.

  7. I believe in God and my mother growing up we went to church as family and I learned about the Apocalypse/Rapture and I do believe it’s going to happen but honestly I don’t think it today I’m not saying it will never happen, what I’m trying to say no body quite know when it’ll start and we don’t know the exact year, day, month or even time the Rapture is suppose to happen the only one who does is our Heavenly Father.

I think you are just embarrased.

Trying to cover for the fact you weren’t raptured.

  9. Perhaps it did happen – but so few people were raptured that all it will show up as is a slight blip on the missing persons statistics.

  10. What if the magic man in the sky decided to rapture only five (5) people?

That was because only those five people were actual “real Christians”.
Everybody else…ESPECIALLY those that THOUGHT that THEY were also “real Christians”…just got left behind.
They were all judged to be unworthy in the eyes of the magic sky man.

Five people magically disappearing would go effectively unnoticed.
Each of the five could be camping/living alone/etc.
Heck, one of the five could be a criminal in prison that just vanishes overnight! The prison authorities would just assume he cunningly escaped somehow. They would not assume that he had surrendered himself to the magic sky man at the right moment with the right incantations and had been magiked away.

Could have happened years ago back in 1986.
Everybody still here are the rejects that got left behind.
    Spooky.

  12. It is spookily quiet on the local Christian apologist blogs at the moment.

    Or perhaps that’s just embasrassment.

It’s a pity, really, as you’d wish that they’d speak out against the nonsense. Perhaps they’re not speaking out because they’re conflicted as on one level they want to believe in a Rapture sometime, or at least be “open” to it?

  14. Well, I figured lots of naked people floating in the air would be WAY too scandalous to miss. They didn’t really think that through, did they, sin-wise.

I was all ready to blog about it, so I did. Ended up being far less exciting that I’d hoped. *sigh*

Btw, do you know what happens when you continuously blog about The Rapture in New Zealand (where, of course, it was supposed to hit first) on the Day Of? Literally 500+ people who’ve typed words like “New Zealand”, “Rapture”, “6pm”, “Rapture to hit New Zealand first” end up on your blog. (Don’t think I’ll see those numbers again.) Many probably didn’t get what they expected. I get some glee from that. Lol!

Hi GC, nice of you to pop back in.
The way I recall it, Cedric experienced no trouble at all, running intellectual rings around denier/conspiracy-theory dullards whilst also enlightening and entertaining many readers.
Say, why don’t you hang around for a while, we might be treated to an encore performance.
